Hard to find BMW data link connectors
1 1996 - 2000 3 Series DLC Location
Located on left underside of dash board. Look for an access panel cover with 1/4 turn slotted head retaining screw between vicinity of steering column and drivers side door jamb.
2 1996 - 2000 5 Series DLC Location
Located on left underside of dash board. Look for an access panel cover with 1/4 turn slotted head retaining screw between vicinity of steering column and drivers side door jamb.
3 1996 - 2000 7 Series DLC Location
Located in center console on drivers side, under stereo/controls. Connector has protective cover with "OBD ll" designation.
4 1996 -2000 Z3 DLC Location
Data link connector located under passenger side of dash. Look for cover with "OBD ll" designation.
