Determining Which Side is Bank One

Problem:  O.K. suppose you have an oxygen sensor code for bank one, sensor one.  How do you quickly determine which side of an engine is bank one and which side is bank two.

Solution:  As a general rule, when looking at a "V" designated engines, ie., V6, V8, V10, etc., the cylinder which sits furthest forward is bank one.

Sometimes you have to squint and move positions to see the difference but one cylinder head always sits a little further forward than the other.
